| "Introducing the Ocean" is comprised of a series of sculptures and installations originating from my first impressions and experiences with the sea. Growing up in middle America, my imagination was often fueled by the discovery of fossilized seashells and horned coral. It was overwhelming to consider that I stood - not at the shore of some long removed ocean, but at its greatest depths. On my first journey to the ocean, I recall the shear immensity, but more vividly, I remember the taste, smells and sounds of the sea... |
